Development and Operation of Track Condition Monitoring System Using In-Service Train

Railway tracks must be managed appropriately because their conditions significantly affect railway safety. Safety is ensured through inspections by track maintenance staff and based on measurements using dedicated geometry cars. However, maintaining regional conventional methods becoming difficult of poor financial condition lack manpower. Therefore, a diagnostic system developed, wherein onboard sensing devices are installed in-service vehicles, the vibration acceleration car body measured to monitor track. In this study, we conduct long-term evaluate changes in over time car-body data. Filed test results showed that sections with degraded were identified The degradation trend can constructed obtained. Furthermore, study demonstrated effect could confirmed. A method for improving train position yaw angular velocity proposed. irregularity shown more clearly monitoring position-corrected data proposed method. It also time-frequency analysis vertical effective evaluating clearly.
